HARVEST WORKFLOW
THE CHANGE FROM HAND COLLECTING TO A FRUIT HARVESTING TECHNIQUE IS A CONVERSION. IN THE OPERATOR'S HAND, THE FRUIT BREATHER UNFOLDS ITS POTENTIAL AS A FLEXIBLE TOOL FOR AN EFFICIENT AND ENJOYABLE FRUIT HARVEST.
1. MOWING OR MULCHING
Mowing or mulching up to approx. 2 weeks before harvest. Exclude grazing animals 3 weeks before harvest. When mulching, plan 2-3 passes to avoid residue.
2. PRE-CLEANING
Remove larger branches by hand. Collect and compost rotten and old fruit with the Obstraupe.
3. SHAKE
The optimum ripeness for processing is when the fruits fall from the tree on their own. Shake if necessary - depending on the variety and type of fruit.
4. HARVEST PREPARATION
Provide transport containers such as large fruit crates, rear drawers, trailers, etc. Set up a mobile sorting station – e.g. B. with our sorting!*.
5. COLLECT
When ripe, pick up pome fruit once or twice a week and stone fruit once or twice a day.
6. PRE-SORTING WITH LEAVE BRUSH
Collect fruit and at the same time sort out grass and leaf residue with the leaf brush (can be used optionally).
7. SORTING
Post-sorting while standing directly into transport containers. Alternatively: sorting at the farm before the washing process - e.g. B. with our sorting!*.
8. TRANSPORTATION
Transport to the farm or transport to the fruit collection point.
9. WASHING AND PROCESSING
Best fruit for best products.
